Mmmm, 'kay. For January's exchange, I would like a doll of Fujiwara no Mokou. c:
Reference: [link] Some info 'bout her: Well, Mokou has the ability to control fire. She's commonly portrayed as a tomboy, and is aloof and quiet. (I say 'Commonly portrayed as' because ZUN never really describes her personality, so I'm going by what fans see her as...) She's immortal, too, so of course, she can't die, but can still feel pain. :V
If you find yourself unable to doll her, then feel free to doll Monomo:
Monomo - She's quiet, shy and kind, but incredibly competitive, and will do almost anything to win a contest/game (except cheat). Naturally, she's a sore loser, so she starts sulking and whining whenever she loses. She likes wearing over-sized shirts (the shirt she usually wears has really long sleeves), and pantyhose, but doesn't like wearing shoes, no matter what kind they are. She also likes playing in the snow and birds.
Alright, alright. You know those dolls that are so horrible that you feel rage charging up inside of you to unspeakably high levels? (IT'S OVER 9000!! *shotkilled* |D;; ) And you, the not-quite-the-best-but-at-least-half-decent-doller are absolutely sick of seeing them, right? And you! The-wannabee-who's-been-dolling-for-quite-a-while-yet-can't-seem-to-be-able-to-create-anything-nice-and-presentable-doller want to be better, don't you? People keep flaming and bashing you just because your dolls/bases are all crooked and full of blinding colours, and you just want it to stop, don't you?
Well, me too.
Which is why I did this. I know that people might've done this before, but I think this journal will be very helpful (atleastihopesooo). I've searched all of deviantART, scoured through thousands of pages (okayi'mexaggerating), and collected links to everything and anything that has helped me and thousands of other dollers to become better. Below is a list of a bunch of tutorials. Each are put into different categories (hair, clothes, base, etc.) so they can be easier to find in this list.
Also, you don't have to look at all of them. Just click on any random link, and if the technique it presents doesn't suit you, just click on another one. 8D
Note that there are many, many more tutorials, but I figured that these would be enough.
If you want to be a better doller, just look at this list. If you see someone who you think might need some help dolling, then just kindly link them to this page.
